Background thoughts and information

I wrote this piece to be used either as a rote piece (to get seconds and thirds into the hands) or a very early reading piece. In either instance, you would want to break down the piece and only teach a segment at a time.

I am toying with the idea of mixing up the learning of the reading of intervals with practice in a song. I am thinking about using parts of this song after I introduce reading seconds and thirds to give practice reading 'real' notation before moving on to larger intervals.
