Fingering is important in this piece. I intentionally left the finger numbers out so you and your students can work out, and write in, the fingering that works best. I let my students experiment with different fingerings so that they can see and learn how important correct fingering can be in playing a piece. Often I have a student who naturally chooses a more awkward fingering. By experimenting they take ownership of the fingering and are more prone to using the better fingering in the end.

In this piece in the I position, some prefer finger 1 on the first note, others prefer to cross over with finger 2. It would be interesting to hear what others experience and which fingering you prefer.
